My ceramics practice is, and I hope always will be, rooted in play. I love the feeling of clay in my hands, and I love how much the process pushes my creativity and patience. I love that pottery is an interactive art form, both for the maker and the consumer.

I also must acknowledge that my ceramics practice has a huge environmental and ethical impact. I use a lot of water and energy throughout the process, and despite my best efforts, I have not been able to ensure that the raw materials in the clay and glazes I use are always ethically sourced. As such, here are some things to know:

  • I take my time and am deliberate about only firing pieces I’m happy with. Clay is infinitely recyclable until it’s fired, and I reclaim all of my scrapped pieces to use again. This means I will ask for a generous amount of time for any custom orders to ensure I am being mindful of resources, and producing work that we both love.

  • I ship pots in recycled packaging whenever possible, and I source packaging materials from my local Buy Nothing group. This means your order may arrive in a random box!

  • The prices I set for my work takes into account high material costs, as well as my labor and skill, which means it may not be affordable for everyone! If you love my work but buying something would put financial strain on you, please reach out. I offer a limited number of sliding scale spots, with priority to BIPOC and LGBTQ+ folks.

FAQ

  • TBD! I’m in the process of establishing sales practices so will likely experiment with different options for a while.

For now, I anticipate having sporadic drops that will give me some insight into what kind of products and volume I’ll need.

  • Yes! Well, mostly. Please fill out the contact form with details about what you’d like, and I will let you know if I’m able to accommodate your request! If I am, I’ll also send over pricing and timeline estimates.

I do not accept wholesale requests.

  • Most of what I make is unique, not on principle, but because I am extremely prone to boredom. If there’s a piece of my older work that you absolutely love, please fill out the contact form! I can’t make any promises (there are many factors outside of my control, including kiln temperatures and material availability) but I will try my best!
